Blake Christian Academy is a nationally accredited Montessori-based Christian school through ILCS & FLOCS. Scientific research has proven that children learn by doing. We have taken this Montessori philosophy and incorporated it into an individualized developmentally hands-on learning program. Our credentialed teachers have years of experience working with individual needs. In everything we teach, from Science and Social Studies, Classical Art & Practical Life, to Math, Bible and Reading, our students learn by experimenting, touching, feeling and doing.
Blake Christian Academy is a school for inquisitive learners, a place where learning comes naturally. Therefore, every learning activity that is chosen for our school has a specific learning purpose that will help your child progress to higher learning and excel to unknown heights. One of the most important goals of our curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners and to truly have a love of learning. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts.
Blake Christian Academy’s goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, intrinsically motivated learners. We are teaching them how to learn, a skill they will need for the rest of their lives. We give them opportunities to form good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of themselves, which will make a difference throughout their lives. Other important goals of our curriculum are to teach logic, comprehension, and concentration. By using these hands-on activities, they achieve these goals by simply doing the activities.
